Name 50 States in 10 Minutes

50 States in 10 Minutes

150_usa_map.jpg
Can you name all 50 states without consulting a map?

I forgot 6. It's much harder than you think.
You have ten minutes from page load to type in all 50 states. Yes, spelling counts.

I cannot get this game out of my head. I love it. It's very addicting!

Help: Use your mouse only, left click to remove an area of hexagons. Area has to consist of 2 or more hexagons. The larger the area the more points you get. You have some bonus items to help you clearing the level (see bonus items panel). Level is completed when all blocks are removed. Game is over when there are no more moves and no more bonus items.

Einstein's Fish Puzzle

This brainteaser, reportedly written by Einstein is difficult and Einstein said that 98% of the people in the world could not figure it out. Which percentage are you in?

There are five houses in a row in different colors. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. The five owners drink a different drink, smoke a different brand of cigar and keep a different pet, one of which is a Walleye Pike.

The question is– who owns the fish?

Hints:
1. The Brit lives in the red house.
2. The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
3. The Dane drinks tea.
4. The green house is on the left of the white house.
5. The green house owner drinks coffee.
6. The person who smokes Pall Malls keeps birds.
7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhills.
8. The man living in the house right in the center drinks milk.
9. The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
10. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the one who smokes Dunhills.
12. The owner who smokes Bluemasters drinks beer.
13. The German smokes Princes.
14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
15. The man who smokes Blends has a neighbor who drinks water.

There are no tricks, pure logic will get you the correct answer. And yes, there is enough information to arrive at the one and only correct answer.

ANSWER: Don't click if you don't want to know.

Armadillo Run

Armadillo Run is a physics-based game in which you have to build a Rube Goldberg style contraption to make it to the next level. For each challenge, you're given a budget to buy rope, cloth, metal bars, metal sheet, and other components. Then you have to assemble a structure and adjust the tension of the component so that it will successfully deliver a basketball to a circular blue portal. The challenges get harder as you progress. The game cost $20, but you can download a 10-level demo version for free. (It's for Windows only.)

Google Image Labeler Game

Google Image Labeler

How does it work?

You'll be randomly paired with a partner who's online and using the feature. Over a 90-second period, you and your partner will be shown the same set of images and asked to provide as many labels as possible to describe each image you see. When your label matches your partner's label, you'll earn some points and move on to the next image until time runs out. After time expires, you can explore the images you've seen and the websites where those images were found. And we'll show you the points you've earned throughout the session.

For example, this image can be described by the labels: bird, sky, soaring, or frigate bird.

What is required to participate?

Although you do not have to log in to your Google account to help, logging in will allow you to keep track of your points. You can also choose to provide a nickname, or you can remain anonymous.
